Patna,(BiharTimes): Two days after the ‘breach’ in security arrangement of chief minister Nitish Kumar the SSP, Patna, Alok Kumar, was on Saturday ‘kicked up’ and made the DIG of Saran. In all 58 IPS officers were transferred. This included three ADGs.     | Nitish had to leave the function midway for 10 minutes as he went to use one of the toilets at a nearby hotel. Though there were temporary toilets, the Bihar chief minister had to pass the public to reach one of them. According to prescribed norms, the urinal should have been located behind the dais. During the chief minister’s various yatras, there was clear instruction to the district magistrates concerned to ensure that there were covered toilets stationed just behind the dais wherever the CM was scheduled to visit. An officer said that the officials had to keep in mind the long duration the Chief Minister had to stay there and should have arranged for toilets near the main venue for him. He stayed there for three hours. The IG and SSP were given 24 hours time to reply. Sources, however, said as promotion was due for Alok Kumar this was the best way to get rid of him.
