Suman’s brother suspects involvement of brother-in-law in her killing

Patna,(BiharTimes): The alleged gang rape and murder of Suman, a tourist from Jharkhand, has taken a new twist with the brother of the deceased, Rajesh Kumar, suspecting the role of his brother-in-law, Naresh Barnwal, in her murder.

Talking to the media in Gaya about three days after the incident he refuted that Suman was gang-raped. He alleged that Naresh Barnwal conspired to get her sister, Suman, killed.

As reported earlier Rajesh was with his family in the same car, which left for Jamui from Gaya on Sunday. On way to Jamui they stopped at Rajgir.

He now said that the criminals did all this at the instance of his brother-in-law. He said everything happened before him and it appeared that it was meticulously planned murder. He feared that his nephew (Suman’s son) may also be killed.

He attributed the killing of his sister to the extra-marital relationship Naresh had with one of the girls of the family in Gaya.

However, on Monday Rajesh was quoted in the media as saying in great detail as to how the criminals took them at the gun-point and terrorize all of them. He then explained as to how his sister was dragged by the criminals and shot dead.

This sudden change in his statement two days later gave a new colour to the ghastly incident. Rajesh then never denied that her sister was gang-raped, but now he is saying so.

Similarly last month the hands of a labour were chopped off by a contractor in Arwal as he refused to accompany him to Delhi. The incident shocked the people of the state. However, soon the state government came out with a statement saying that the hands were not chopped off but that the labour lost them in a train accident. This even when the doctors refused to accept the accident theory. The story died its own death.
