RJD protest deteriorating law and order situation in Bihar

Patna,(BiharTimes): For the second day in succession Opposition RJD members on Wednesday raised the issue of deteriorating law and order situation and shouted anti-government slogans both inside and outside the Bihar Assembly.
With placards in hands, RJD MLAs gathered in the portico of the state Assembly on Wednesday morning and started shouting slogans.

They were particularly critical of the role of the police in the murder of a woman in Lakhisarai district on Sunday night. Dacoits looted cash and ornaments worth Rs two lakh and alleged to have gang raped her before shooting her to death before the family members.

Later in the day the RJD MLAs disrupted the Zero Hour in the Assembly for sometime and shouted anti-government slogans after the Speaker Uday Narayan Choudhary rejected their Adjournment Notice seeking adjournment and a debate on alleged deterioration in law and order in Bihar.

Leader of Opposition in the state Assembly Abdul Bari Siddiqui alleged that murders and other crimes have become order of the day. He demanded that the state government should make statement on law and order in the Assembly.

Siddiqui also raised the issue of involvement of a ruling party MLA in the abduction of Javed Akhtar, an all India Information Service officer. His wife said that she had to pay Rs 55 lakh for his release.

In the Legislative Council the leader of RJD, Ghulam Ghouse, raised the issue of rape of a woman in Nawada.
