LaIu, Rabri combines into one in Lara motor-cycle agency

Patna,(BiharTimes): The motor-cycle agency recently inaugurated by the RJD supremo Lalu Yadav in Aurangabad district of Bihar has been named after Lara. The Hero two-wheeler agency is owned by his elder son, Tej Pratap.

But Lara here does not stand for cricketing legend Brain Lara, or former Miss Universe, Lara Dutt or Lara Antipova, a character in Nobel Laureate Boris Pasternak’s famous novel, Dr Zhivago.

It is derived from two initial letters each from Lalu and Rabri. But this is not the first time that the expression Lara has been used. But, it is for the first time that the family itself has chosen to float a business after this name.

Unlike younger cricketing brother, Tejaswi, the elder one Tej Pratap, is a low profile young man. He will divide his time between Patna and Aurangabad. He is doing BA (Pol Sc Honours) from B N College as well undergoing pilot training in Patna. Besides being a member of the Patna Flying Club he is a also a devotee of Lord Krishna.

So in his absence from Aurangabad, Ajay Kumar Sinha, a local RJD leader, would be looking after the showroom situated at Kama Bigha on NH-2.

In fact Lalu, during the inauguration, handed over the keys to the first customer, Abhishek Kumar, of nearby Obra block of the district, known for carpet industry. Lalu then said: “Give best wishes to my son for his new venture.”
