Make public probe on firm which breached SC directive: RJD

Patna,(BiharTimes): Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly, Abdul Bari Siddiqui, on Wednesday asked the Nitish government to make public the headway the vigilance probe had made on a private firm. The investigation was ordered by the then RJD government after the company breached a Supreme Court directive.

Talking to reporters in Patna he said the company had breached the Supreme Court directive for revival of Ashok Paper Mill near Darbhanga. Therefore, the state government should make public vigilance investigation before considering its interest on investment of Rs 2,000 crore in the factory.

Siddiqui said the state government should also take into account an order passed on February 17 by the EPFO for confiscation of the properties of the paper company on a petition filed by the employees of the Mills for payment of their provident fund.
