Bihar candidates fail to come upto the reputation in Civil Services

Patna,(BiharTimes): Candidates from Bihar failed to come upto their reputation in the Civil Services exam this year. While the first, second, third and seventh positions have been bagged by the candidates from Punjab and Haryana and 14th by one in Assam, Neha Prakash from Patna was the topper among Biharis. She secured 22nd position while, Ujjwal Kumar got 24th position. He is from Munger.

Neha, who did his schooling from Notre Dame Academy in Patna, got her engineering degree from BIT Mesra and management from IIM Lucknow. Her optional subjects were Sociology and Management.

Vikram Vardhan son of Kumar Amle stood 111th position and Kundan Kumar from Jamalpur got 124th rank.
Ankit Kumar Agrawal from Patna secured 126th rank. He is an ex student of International School and alumnus of Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology, Delhi, Ankit had worked with Yahoo Inc. in Bangalore for two years. His optional papers were Sociology and Public Administration.
Avinash Kumar Singh from Mahuar village of Kaimur district got the 136 rank in the exam. Sunil Kumar Gautam, from Sasaram, stood 211th position.
Ashish Kumar Verma, 26, who is suffering from cerebral palsy, secured 726th rank.
Though he is suffering from such a disease Ashish qualified with Hindi as one of the optional papers. He did his MA in Hindi from Patna University.
Ashish Bharti and Prabhakar Kumar Ranjan secured 337th and 339th rank respectively.
Imtiyaz Aalam son of Kafil Ansari of Bastwara village of Darbhanga district was also ranked 649 in this prestigious exam.
Dr Kumar Aditya from Nathnagar (Bhagalpur) got 489th rank while Ankit Anand stood 520th in the ranking.
Amit Kumar, son of Rampravesh Kushwaha of Lachnauta village under Laukaria Panchayat of Raxaul sub-division of East Champaran disctrict secured 584 rank.
Rajkishor of Laluchak from Bhagalpur district got 824th position.
Pallav Jha, who got 93 rank, lives in Delhi. He too is originally from Katihar in Bihar though his parents are at present living in Deoghar.
A total of 910 candidates cleared the examination. Out of them 195 were women.
