JD(U) flays Choubey for projecting Narendra Modi as PM candidate

Patna,(BiharTimes): Alliance partner Janata Dal (United) on Monday strongly objected to the health minister and BJP leader Aswini Choubey’s statement that Bihar solidly stands behind Narendra Modi for his candidature for the post of prime minister. Talking to mediapersons on Monday its spokesperson Sanjay Singh said his party has strong objections to the statement of Choubey that Narendra Modi should come forward as a prime ministerial candidate as entire Bihar is with him.

He said it is a matter to be decided by the people of Bihar and not by Choubey. The spokesman asked how Choubey had gained support to make such statement in Surat on Sunday. Ridiculing the statement he asked BJP to explain and clarify whether the minister’s remarks were that of the BJP or his personal view. If the BJP does not do so it would adversely affect its relations with JD(U), Sanjay Singh went on to say.Earlier, another spokesman Neeraj Kumar too strongly criticized Choubey’s statement given in Surat and that too in the presence of Narendra Modi.
