Why is Nitish running govt with killers of Gandhiji, asks Lalu

Patna,(BiharTimes): Coming down heavily on the Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar for using the name of Gandhi Baba for the Central University of Bihar the Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Yadav said that if Nitish Kumar is really so serious in his demand then why is he running his government with those who killed Gandhiji.

While addressing a meeting of party workers and leaders at 10 Circular Road on Saturday evening he attacked Nitish for unnecessarily making CUB an issue. He said that there should be central universities both in Motihari and Gaya as well as in Patna. He would soon be undertaking a Yatra from Motihari to Gaya via Vaishali to expose the stand of the state government on the issue.

Criticizing the poor law and order situation in the state he asked as to what type of government is Nitish Kumar running where the cousin of Director General rank officer is getting killed and the very next day the body of the man accused is found near the railway track. He said Nitish would not be missing him any more as he would be living in Patna now.

The Rashtriya Janata Dal chief dubbed Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar’s repeated demand for a special status as a “dhong” (deception) to keep public attention away from his own failures.

Ridiculing Nitish’s Seva Yatra he said the latter was campaigning for the 2014 Lok Sabha polls by spending government money. He said he would expose the failures of the Nitish government.

On this occasion he declared a number of programmes for party workers, including dera dalo, ghera dalo, jail bharo andolan etc. The dates of the programmes would be announced later.

The RJD chief conceded the mistakes committed during his 15-year regime. He said some sections of society were not happy with his regime and if he came to power again he would ensure that the mistakes are not repeated.

Former chief minister Rabri Devi also addressed the meet. She said that she would not be the leader of opposition in the Bihar Legislative Council and the party leader Ghulam Ghouse would continue to be on that post.

The meeting was called to chalk out a strategy to launch an agitation against the Nitish government.
