Sushil Modi rejects Lalu’s allegation on deteriorating law and order in Bihar

 

Patna,(BiharTimes): Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi on Tuesday rejected Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad’s charge that law and order situation had deteriorated in the state under NDA rule.

 Talking to the newsmen in Patna on Tuesday he claimed that the citizens of the state would not subscribe to his views. His charge is absolutely ridiculous and wrong.

At a public meeting in Jagdishpur in Bhojpur district a couple of days back Lalu alleged that there was sharp deterioration in law and order in the state.


Instead, Modi reminded that there was Jungle raj during the Lalu-Rabri regime. People have witnessed it and they would not rely on what Lalu Prasad and his party now say.


Sushil Modi also criticized Bihar Congress president Choudhary Mehboob Ali for embarking on Expose Nitish Yatra (Pol Khol Yatra) in the state.


Cabinet sanctions Rs 1366.70 crore for agri-road map

 

Patna,(BiharTimes): The Bihar cabinet on Tuesday sanctioned Rs 1366.70 crore for the
first year (2012-13) under its ambitious agriculture road map for storage of foodgrains, organic farming, green fertiliser and horticulture.

 

According to the state cabinet coordination department principal secretary, Ravikant, under the ambitious agriculture road map for five years, the state cabinet sanctioned the amount for the first year with thrust on storage of foodgrains, organic farming, green fertiliser, horticulture
and other related agriculture components for the running financial year.

 

The five-year roadmap had been implement from April 1, 2012 with thrust on increasing the income of farmers, boosting agriculture production and productivity, production of foodgrain to make Bihar self-sufficient in the field of agriculture.


The cabinet also sanctioned Rs 52.72 crore for an action plan on changes in the weather.


It also allocated a revolving fund of Rs 200 crore for wheat procurement by State Food Corporation during the current Rabi marketing season for 2012-13.
