Dr Nadeem Zafar Jilani gets Fellowship of Royal College of Paediatrics

Patna,(BiharTimes): Dr Nadeem Zafar Jilani, a Paediatrican of Bihar origin and currently working in United Kingdom, has recently been awarded prestigious fellowship of Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH) in recognition of his services and high achievements in the field of Paediatrics and Child Health.

The award was given to him at a glittering ceremony held at Crown Plaza Hotel in Glasgow at the start of annual conference of Royal College of Paediatrics attended by hundreds of delegates from all over UK and abroad.

Dr Jilani, comes from village Kumhrauli of Darbhanga district of Bihar and obtained his secondary education from Insan School, Kishanganj. He then went on to do MBBSand MD (Paediatrics) from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University. He was also elected secretary of Junior Doctors Organisation (JDO) at JNMCH during his stay there. After working in Saudi Arabia for a short
while, Dr. Jilani moved to UK on an international Paediatric training scheme and passed prestigious MRCPCH exam in 2003. He is currently working as a Consultant Paediatrician at North Manchester


General Hospital. He has special interest in gastrointestinal diseases of children, Food Allergy, Neonatal Medicine and Medical Education. He is also very active in literary and cultural activities in North West of England.

Himself an Urdu poet, his work on contemporary issues has been widely appreciated and Outlook, India recently quoted his work on political situation in Gujrat.
