Central Universities (Amendment) Bill, 2012 to be introduced in Parliament

Patna,(BiharTimes): The Union Cabinet has approved a proposal to rename the existing Central University of Bihar as the Central University of South Bihar to be located at Gaya and Central University of North Bihar at Motihari. The Central Universities (Amendment) Bill, 2012 to amend the Central Universities Act, 2009 to facilitate the above is proposed to be introduced in Parliament during the current Winter Session.

At present the Central University of Bihar is functioning from its temporary location at BIT campus in Patna. Academic activities in the Central University of North Bihar can be started only after the Central Universities (Amendment) Bill, 2012 is passed by both the Houses of the Parliament.
