BJP has nothing to do with party MP Uday Singh’s rally: Sushil Modi

Patna,(BiharTimes): Top Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders of Bihar have dissociated themselves from Purnea MP, Uday Singh’s massive Vedna Rally of Sep 30.

Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi on Monday said the BJP had nothing to do with the Vedana (Anguish) Rally. The party does not approve of Singh’s assessment of the NDA government’s performance.

It needs to be recalled that Uday, had in the rally said, that both chief minister Nitish Kumar and deputy chief minister are surrounded by sycophants and have lost touch with ground reality.

Modi said it was a personal show of the BJP MP and whatever he said about the state government was his own opinion.

He said the BJP state unit had taken a dim view of his tirade against the Nitish Kumar government and apprised the party’s central leadership about his conduct for taking appropriate action.

State BJP president, Dr C P Thakur, said the BJP as a party was not associated with Uday Singh’s programme. However, he did not sound as bitter against the Purnea MP as Modi.

Incidentally, Uday Singh is the brother of Rajya Sabha MP of Janata Dal (United) and former bureaucrat, N K Singh.
