Patna,(BiharTimes): Now it is not teachers who are at the receiving end of the police lathis.Like in Gaya on Tuesday, a large number of students, and that too of the ruling Janata Dal (United), were brutally beaten up by police during the chief minister Nitish Kumar’s Adhikar Yatra in Aurangabad on Wednesday.

 | This sparked off large scale violence in the town. The rampaging students having association with the ruling party indulged in brickbatting and arson. They tore the photos of their own leader, Nitish Kumar, and raised slogans against him and the administration.
This scene continued for one hour and several people received injuries.

Earlier, the Chatra Janata Dal (United) organized a rally and marched towards the venue where the chief minister was to address a public meeting. However, they were not allowed to enter the venue. This caused a lot of resentment as they did everything to make the Rally a success.

However, the story did not end there. When the students were returning after the chief minister’s speech was over, they were frisked by the police. This infuriated them. They felt humiliated and cheated.

It is upon this that the clash started leading to the widespread arson and destruction of property.

Meanwhile, the chief minister returned to Patna after addressing a public meeting there
