Nitish equates Katju with Kalnemi, claims Bihar is progressing

Patna,(BiharTimes): Chief minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday strongly reacted to the Press Council of India chairman Markandey Katju’s strong criticism of the Bihar government and equated him with Ramayana’s character Kalnemi.

Replying to a pointed question from a newswmen he, without taking his name, said some people were moving in the state like the Kalnemi to turn a vibrant atmosphere of the state into gloom. Bihar, the chief minister once again claimed, is witnessing rapid growth after change of environment conducive to progress. Kalnemi had tried to confuse Lord Hanuman while he was on way to bring Sanjeevani to save the life of Ram's brother Lakshman.

He said they appear from nowhere all of a sudden and return after giving sermon.

Referring to Katju the chief minister said he is a big personality. “What can I say about him.”

The Janata Dal (United) chief Sharad Yadav also flayed Katju by saying that people not aware of the reality of Bihar should not give such statement.

Similarly, the Bihar president of Janata Dal (United) Vashisth Narayan Singh said the anargal (absurd) statement does not behove well for the man who is holding such an important post
