11 Khagaria policemen suspended

Patna,(BiharTimes): After para-teachers the state government has cracked whip on policemen.
Four days after Khagaria incident where ruling Janata Dal (United) MLA, Ranvir Yadav, snatched a gun from a bodyguard and opened fire in the air, and that too before Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar, 11 policemen––seven sub-inspectors and four constables––of police have been suspended on the charge of being absent from duty in Khagaria district. They belonged to various police stations of the district.

According to Khagaria SP Mithu Prasad they have been suspended after they were found absent from duty during inspection since Saturday.

However, additional director general of police (headquarters) Ravindra Kumar said that this action has nothing to do with Thursday violence at the chief minister’s public meeting.
