Patna,(BiharTimes): Thanks to various educational programmes the literacy growth rate in Bihar was 16.82 per cent between 2001 and 2011. This figure is higher than the national average of 9.28 per cent.

Stating this at a function in Patna on Saturday Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi said social indices like decline in death rate, universalisation of immunisation scheme and rise in per capita income in Bihar reflect that the state was achieving inclusive growth.
