LJP seeks dismissal of Nitish govt

Patna,(BiharTimes): Though the proposed Raj Bhawan March of Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) on Sunday was cancelled as the Governor, D Y Patil, could not return to Patna (he was out of station) the party sought immediate dismissal of the Nitish Kumar government.

In a memorandum submitted to Raj Bhawan the party alleged that there is anarchy in the state and the entire machinery was plagued by financial irregularities.

Addressing the party workers from all over the state its national president Ram Vilas Paswan said the law and order situation has simply collapsed and there is loot everywhere in Bihar. There is atmosphere of fear among average people as well as traders forcing them to migrate.

He charged that the money sent by the Centre was lying unutilized.

Party’s state chief Pashupati Kumar Paras, secretary general Raghvendra Singh Kushwaha, former minister Maheshwar Singh, party’s media in charge Lallan Kumar Chandravanshi and spokesman Shailendra Pratap Singh signed the memorandum.

The LJP launched Bihar Bachao Abhiyan between January 5 and April 12 under the leadership of Ram Vilas Paswan. The party workers, during the campaign, also compiled complaints of the people of the state on various issues.

The party highlighted a series of scams in the excise department, school uniforms, midday meal, uterus removal, paddy and wheat procurement, implementation of schemes under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act etc. Ironically, most of them are centrally-sponsored schemes and funds have come from the Centre.
