JD (U) pushing BJP out even before the formal divorce

Patna,(BiharTimes): Though the Janata Dal (United) and BJP have not yet finally got separated the former, it seems, has made up its mind to push the latter out of the alliance in Bihar.

On Wednesday not a single minister of BJP in the Nitish Kumar cabinet nor any other leader of the saffron party was invited at an official function of the state government organized at Shri Krishna Memorial Hall. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was also present on the occasion.

The function was on a new technology of paddy cultivation (SRI Vidhi).

Later the BJP issued a Press Release to state that not inviting any BJP minister to attend the function was “a serious lapse” on the part of the agriculture department, headed by powerful JD (U) minister Narendra Singh.

The saffron party sought the intervention of chief minister Nitish Kumar into the matter for “keeping the alliance intact” in the state.

The president of the BJP Kisan Morcha Ratnesh Singh, said in a statement that this is against the coalition dharma and the Janata Dal (United) must take steps to mend it, or else the situation may reach to a point of no return.

He said that the organisers not only ignored the BJP ministers, but also deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi, who is the in-charge minister of Patna district. This has been done deliberately and with adequate preplanning, he further added.

BJP leaders are of the view that ministers of cooperative and animal husbandry departments, Ramadhar Singh and Giriraj Singh, (both of BJP) respectively, should have been invited, as their departments are closely involved in the execution of the agriculture road map of Bihar.

Interestingly, only a couple of days after his April 14 speech against Narendra Modi, the Bihar chief minister shared dais with Giriraj Singh and deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi on the Foundation Day function of Comfed. However, Comfed falls under Giriraj Singh’s animal husbandry department and Nitish was invited on the occasion. He even appreciated Giriraj Singh’s love for goat milk though the latter is his bitterest critic.

Now that the Janata Dal (United) has used official function to discard BJP it seems that the relationship has further deteriorated.
