CM denies HT report on simultaneous parliamentary, Assembly elections

Patna,(BiharTimes): Chief minister Nitish Kumar on Friday denied a report carried a couple of days back in Hindustan Times that there was a move at his level to go for simultaneous parliamentary and Assembly elections in Bihar.

Talking to the media in the State Assembly on Friday after it was adjourned sine die he called such report as baseless and bina sar pair ki baat.

He said at present his party’s attention is focused on making preparations for the 2014 parliamentary election. Votes would be sought from people on the basis of the performance of the state government.
Thus in a way the chief minister sought to end the speculations on cabinet expansion after the Monsoon Session of the legislature.

Attacking the former ally Bharatiya Janata Party Nitish said it was unethical on its part to criticize the decisions of the state government taken when it was part of the NDA government.

He once again talked about friendship between BJP and RJD and came down heavily on the saffron brigade for disrupting the proceedings of the Assembly and Council though “we wanted to discuss all the issues.”
