Nitish government will fall under its own weight: Sushil Kumar Modi

Patna,(BiharTimes): A day after chief minister Nitish Kumar dismissed the speculation of cabinet expansion the former deputy chief minister and BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi on Saturday alleged that the JD(U) government is under threat of its own MLAs who are getting impatient.

Talking to the media he said the BJP need not destabilise the Nitish Kumar government as often accused by the chief minister as the state government is under threat of its own MLAs, four Independents and four-member Congress legislative party.

They are getting restless due to delay in cabinet expansion and many of them would leave the party if not made minister, he said.

He said three out of four Independents, who supported the Nitish government during trust vote on June 19 had walked out of the House during special discussion on law and order on Friday because they were allowed only one minute each to speak on the motion. They were brought back to the House after a lot of persuasion by JD(U) members, Modi said.

The four Congress MLAs have also not committed support to the state government by writting to the Governor, Modi added.

He ruled out any possibility of understanding between BJP and RJD as repeatedly alleged by the chief minister.
