BJP protests filing of FIR against its MLAs in Bodh Gaya blasts case

Patna,(BiharTimes): BJP MLAs created unruly scene in the Bihar Assembly over the lodging of FIR against three party legislators.

Storming in the well of the House in Zero Hour with placards in hands they shouted slogans against lodging of false cases against former minister, Prem Kumar, who represents Gaya Town in Assembly, and MLA Shyamdeo Paswan in connection with the Bodh Gaya bomb blasts case. 

FIR has been lodged against Bankipore MLA Nitin Navin for creating disturbance during sealing of unauthorized business establishments in S K Puri area in Patna on Thursday. 

Leader of opposition Nand Kishore Yadav alleged that the JD(U) government was implicating the rivals in false cases. He also raised the issue of housing problems being faced by the legislators in the wake of a decision by the state government to build new housing complex for them.

The BJP members accused the state government of maintain studied silence over lodging of case against Navin who has been camping outside S K Puri police station in Patna for the last 24 hours.

Nand Kishore Yadav alleged that the cases against Prem Kumar and Shyamdeo Paswan is aimed at throttling the voice in democracy.

An FIR against Navin was filed on a complaint by the Patna Municipal Corporation.

Former deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi and other party leaders also paid a visit to the S K Puri police station to lend their support to Navin. The latter said that the state government should send him to jail on the basis of supervision report if he had committed any wrong. 

According to the City Superintendent of Police, Jayant Kant, the police has neither detained Navin nor called him to the police station.
