Patna,(BiharTimes): The Rashtriya Janata Dal and Bharatiya Janata Party have come down strongly on the absence of Bihar ministers and JD(U) leaders from the airport where the bodies of four solders martyred in Poonch sector were brought.

While several BJP leaders were present at the airport and during the last rites they also raised slogans against Pakistan. Not only that they strongly criticized the absence of Nitish Kumar and other ministers. They said that while Nitish was in Delhi he could have been there to receive the bodies. If that was not possible his ministers or leaders should have been present at the Patna airport or during the last rites.

On the other hand the RJD national general secretary, Ram Kripal Yadav, too denounced the utter indifference shown to the martyrs by the Nitish Kumar government in Bihar.

The party said that when the bodies of Kargil heroes used to be brought here the party chief Lalu Prasad and other leaders would personally receive them and pay utmost respect to them and announce compensation to them. Even a memorial, Kargil Chowk was built in their memory.

However, Janata Dal (United) Rajya Sabha MP, Shivanand Tiwary, rejected the allegation that the state government has not paid any respect to the soldiers.

He said the state government gave state hnour for cremation and had announced Rs ten lakh to their relatives. Their villages would be developed too. So there is no meaning of this allegation, he added.

Party spokesman K C Tyagi said that when the leaders pay such a visit there are allegations that the issue is being politicised. He said that there were several bureaucrats and police officers present on the occasion.

While a cabinet minister in Nitish govt., Bhim Singh in his reaction astonished everyone when he said," jawan to marne ke liye hin hote hain"

"Nitish is insensitive to the sentiments of the common people. When people were expressing their anguish, he was busy in receiving award in Delhi" said Lalu Yadav RJD president.

What was more surprising that senior cabinet minister Brishin Patel said that he was not aware of the schedule of the coming of moral remains of martyrs.
