Patna,(BiharTimes): Twenty-seven children of a government school were taken ill in Rampur Bakhra village under Lalganj block of Vaishali district of Bihar on Thursday after eating the mid-day meal.
Reports suggest that later a dead lizard was found in the meal.
According to District magistrate Jitendra Shrivastava the 27 school children were admitted to Hajipur Sadar hospital where all of them were stated to be out of danger. The children complained of stomach pain and vomiting. He said the District Education Officer has been directed to inquire into the matter. The police is also investigating the case separately. The left out food has been sent for test.
