Raj Kumar Singh to be Nitish’s Advisor on Infrastructure

Patna,(BiharTimes): Former Union Home Secretary Raj Kumar Singh is shortly going to be appointed as the Advisor on Infrastructure to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Singh, who before moving to Delhi as Union Home Secretary served at various posts, including Disaster Management Secretary during the Kosi floods in 2008 and also as Principal Secretary Road Construction of Bihar. 

Thus he has a vast experience in the field of infrastructure development.

He will enjoy ministerial rank and will be the third such advisor to Nitish Kumar. Agriculture expert Mangla Rai is the Agriculture Advisor while former diplomat Pawan Kumar Verma is the Cultural Advisor.

The 1975 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Bihar cadre retired as Home Secretary on June 30.

Incidentally, Raj Kumar Singh, was the district magistrate of Samastipur, when BJP patriarch Lal Krishna Advani was arrested in October 1990 during the chief ministership of Lalu Yadav.
