Ousted BJP ministers, state govt heading for showdown on bungalow eviction

Patna,(BiharTimes): The state government and the ousted BJP ministers are heading for a major showdown over the eviction orders.

The state government is reportedly planning to throw the ministers out of their bungalows as they have not vacated them even after the eviction orders.

But the BJP ministers such as Ashwani Choubey and Giriraj Singh hit back at the state government by stating that any such government order is unconstitutional and illegal as they have been made without providing any alternative arrangement for them. They may cease to be ministers but they are no doubt senior legislators. They have dared the state government to get them evicted.

The BJP leaders asked as to why is the state government in so much hurry when chief minister Nitish Kumar has not expanded his cabinet and thus the bungalows are not to be allotted to anyone.

The Building Construction department has asked nine of the 11 former ministers to vacate the bungalows. Former deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi, who is the leader of opposition in the Legislative Council and Nand Kishore Yadav, who is the leader of opposition in Assembly. Thus they are entitled to their bungalows.
