JD(U) demands immediate dismissal of minister of state for railways

Patna,(BiharTimes): The Janata Dal (United) on Thursday sought the immediate dismissal of minister of state for railways, Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary, from the Union Cabinet.

Talking to the reporters on Thursday, the party general secretary K C Tyagi strongly criticized the minister for what he said irresponsible statement given in Patna after the Dhamara Ghat tragedy. Tyagi’s demand followed chief minister Nitish Kumar’s strong criticism of Adhir. He went on to call him a fool.

But Chaudhary hit back by stating that there should be a reason for demanding resignation. He said he failed to understand the reason for anger.

The MoS for railways reiterated that Bihar has in recent years produced three railway ministers who are aware of the ground reality. It is not correct to blame railways for everything. Similarly, the railways too cannot blame the state government, he added.
