Website launched to expose Narendra Modi’s tall claims

Patna,(BiharTimes): In over one decade of Narendra Modi’s rule Gujarat’s debt increased three-fold. When BJP came to power in the state in 1995 its debt was around Rs 10,000 crore. By 2001 when Modi came to power, the debt had shot up to Rs 45,301 crore. Now it is Rs 1.39 lakh crore. It is estimated that the debt will increase to Rs 2.07 lakh crore by 2015-2016.
This and many other darker sides of Gujarat’s ‘development’ have been exposed in the newly launched website .
Not only that, the website, quoting official data, said around half the children below the age of five are malnourished while 70 per cent are anaemic and 40 per cent underweight.
The website has been launched, among others, by Kumaresh Singh, former student of Chanakya Law University, Patna, and was inaugurated by former director of A N Sinha Institute and renowned sociologist, Dr Mahindra Narayan Karn, noted Hindi writer, Alok Dhanwa, Professor of Economics in Patna University, Nawal Kishore Choudhary, and Professor of History (PU), Bharti S Kumar. The website was projected as a tribute to noted historian Late Ram Sharan Sharma.
Professor Choudhary, in his speech, said besides the Modi model, those of Nitish and Manmohan Singh too are ‘pheku’ as they too encourage corporate culture. He said the Modi model is an extreme form of the Nitish and Manmohan model.
Professor Bharti S Kumar, while appreciating the efforts of the website, said all the ‘phekus’ of the country should be exposed by it.
The website was unveiled in 20 cities across the country on Friday last and has been visited by a large number of netizens. It has numerous articles, reports, write-ups and cartoons from different sources revealing the exaggeration and myth of Gujarat model endorsed by Modi.
It also says as to how around 60,000 small-scale industries have closed down in Gujarat in the last one decade.
