Migrants not a liability for Delhi: Nitish

Patna,(BiharTimes): Campaigning essentially in Bihari concentrated Assembly constituencies for the second day on Sunday Chief Minister Nitish Kumar highlighted the sharp contrast in two Delhis––one meant for rich and affluent and other for poor and downtrodden.

Addressing election meetings he concentrated on the contributions made by the people of Bihar and Poorvanchal in the making of Delhi.

He said that while some pockets of Delhi, with high-rise buildings and all the amenities, are shining the other much larger area has no electricity, no drinking water, road,  or sewerage system. He said his party, Janata Dal (United), has fielded its candidate to build the Delhi of poor.

Without taking the name of Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit he said that the people of Bihar and Poorvanchal are not a liability. In fact what Delhi is today is largely because of their contributions and one does not need any passport to come and settle here.

While Nitish addressed election rallies in Dwarka, Sangam Vihar and Okhla on Saturday he spoke at public meetings in Kiradi Burari on Sunday.
