Nitish inaugurates school, ITI, hospital in ancestral village


Patna,(BiharTimes): On the occasion of the death anniversary of his father, Kaviraj Ram Lakhan Singh, chief minister Nitish Kumar on Friday inaugurated projects worth Rs 8.95 crore to his ancestral village Kalyanbigaha in Harnaut block of Nalanda district.

He inaugurated new buildings of a higher secondary school, a government hospital and an industrial training  institute (ITI).

The two-storey 30-room high school building was built at the cost of Rs 3.90 crore and is spread over 4.85 acres of land, which was sanctioned by the state government in 2008. Besides classrooms, it has laboratory, teachers’ room, gymnasium, sports room, computer room, library, etc.

After taking a look of the entire building Nitish gave necesasary instructions to the officials.

He also opened a new 12-bed government hospital for the villagers. It was constructed at the cost ofRs 1.95 crore and has an operation theatre, a maternity room and a medicine distribution room.

He also inaugurated a new building of an ITI built at the cost of Rs 3.10 crore.
