Sushil Modi asks Nitish not to make Gyan Bhawan row a prestige issue with MMC students

Patna,(BiharTimes): Without denying the chief minister’s statement that the BJP, as an alliance partner, was very much a part of the decision taken to construct convention centre, Gyan Bhawan, near Magadh Mahila College and Women’s Training College former deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi on Tuesday asked Nitish Kumar not to make the matter a prestige issue.

Talking to the media he refuted the allegation levelled by the chief minister that the BJP was provoking agitation and urged the CM instead to pay attention for welfare of the College.

Sushil Modi questioned the support of Congress and Independent MLAs to the Nitish government. He said the four Independent legislators, who voted for the Nitish Kumar government, were absent from the Legislature party meeting of the ruling Janata Dal (United) at chief minister’s residence on Monday night.

According to him one of them Som Prakash Singh addressed a protest meeting of Home Guards and even gave an adjournment notice on the issue in the State Assembly.
He claimed that these four MLAs have given an ultimatum to the chief minister that if the Cabinet expansion is not carried by December 19 they would review support to the the government.
