Broomed Congressmen take up cleanliness drive in Patna

Patna,(BiharTimes): Broomed out of power in Delhi by Aam Admi Party a large number of Congress leaders and workers led by the state party chief Ashok Kumar Chaudhary on Sunday took up cleanliness drive at two kilometre long stretch between Sadaqat Ashram and Rajapul and other localities of Patna.
They removed garbage lying on either side of the roads and sprayed bleaching powder to contain stink.
They toiled for over eight hours and in the process drew the attention towards the total failure of the state government in providing basic amenities to the people in spite of the fact that the Centre had provided crores of rupees to Bihar for this purpose.
Speaking to the media Chaudhary discounted that the motive was political and said that they have taken up the drive because of the total apathy of the state government.`
Analysts are of the view that the Congress wants to motivate the workers through this drive. But they doubt whether the Congress would succeed as the morale of the rank and file are low after recent defeat it suffered in four states.
