Tejaswi not yet 25 years old: Lalu

Patna,(BiharTimes): Released RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav on Tuesday made it clear that his younger son, Tejaswi, would not be contesting from Saran Lok Sabha seat in 2014 as he would be 25 years old on November 25, 2014. A person less than 25 years of age can not contest the Lok Sabha or Assembly election.

However, he made no reference to the elder son, Tej Pratap, who is already 25 as he does not appear to be interested in politics.

The RJD chief was talking to the media in Ranchi before leaving for Patna on Monday. He said so about his son after a question was asked about him.

Lalu Yadav himself can not contest from Saran as after his conviction for five years in fodder scam case he had been disqualified from contesting election for next 11 years.

Lalu said that the party would decide whom to nominate for the vacant seat of Saran in 2014.
