As Lalu flies to New Delhi Nitish says Congress-RJD alliance will have no impact


Patna,(BiharTimes): Even as Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav reached New Delhi on Friday to hold talks on alliance with the Congress high command Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar said in Patna that the RJD-Congress alliance would not have any impact on the poll prospect of the Janata Dal (United).

Talking to the media he said the alliance between RJD and Congress was very much there still they lost both the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. There is no need to worry as everyone is aware of its fate in the past.

“Their alliance is natural. They have always been allies. I have always said so. RJD’s support to UPA is a known fact. Yet it would be projected in a new way this time,” he added.

All these developments are taking place even as the Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee chief, Ashok Chaudhary, who Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi and the party chief Sonia Gandhi on Thursday and Friday respectively. He said that no decision on alliance has yet been taken and the state party has been told to make preparations to contest all the 40 Lok Sabha seats.

The Congress Legislature Party leader, Sadanand Singh, is also in New Delhi and met senior party leaders there.
