Discontentment creeps into Bihar AAP even as organisational structure comes into being


Patna,(Bihartimes): The formal organisational structure of Bihar unit of Aam Admi Party was finalized on Thursday with the appointment of zonal heads for all four zones in which it has been divided.

Though the party is also gearing up to contest all the 40 Lok Sabha seats in the state in 2014 discontentment has crept into the party as some old members have questioned the way the structure has been finalized.

According to Ankit Lal, the IT head of the party the formation of formal structure was necessitated after rumours that some Aam Admi Party members had joined another party.

Lal, who is on a visit to Bihar, said the entire AAP structure has been divided into Magadh, Mitihilanchal, Bhagalpur-Munger and North Bihar zones. Every zone has a convener, secretary and a treasurer.

Patna falls under the Magadh zone which also has Gaya, Jehanabad, Arwal, Aurangabad, Nalanda, Nawada, Rohtas, Kaimur, Buxar and Bhojpur districts.

Arif Raza has been elected as the convener of Magadh zone and Suraj Dev Prasad Yadav as its secretary.

The party aims to rope in about seven lakh people before the 2014 Lok Sabha election.
However, some old members associated with the AAP has questioned the way in which the formal structure has been given to the organization.

Though Ankit Lal claimed that these zonal heads were elected by district-level committees after proper voting, some of AAP members contested his version. They said no voting has taken place and some people with not very clean record have been made office-bearers.

Many of the activists who were associated with the India Against Corruption campaign such as Mahendra Yadav, have now distanced themselves on one reason or the other.
