BJP, Congress in verbal duel over formation of alliance

Patna,(BiharTimes): The Bhuaratiya Janata Party has ridiculed the Congress party’s move to join hands with the Rashtriya Janata Dal in Bihar as well as Aam Admi Party in Delhi.

The party has questioned this paradoxical stand of the Congress party. The leader of opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Arun Jaitley, tweeted as to how can the party support Lalu Yadav, who was convicted in fodder scam case by a CBI court and at the same time lending support to AAP, which contested the Assembly election on the anti-corruption plank.

“What a paradox––Congress supports Kejriwal in Delhi and Lalu in Patna,” he tweeted.

However, the Congress party was quick to hit back. Party’s general secretary Dr Shakeel Ahmad, reminded the saffron party of its relationship with the ousted former chief minister of Karnataka, B S Yeddyurappa. After all the BJP supported him till last till Lokayukta’s report forced him to quit.

At the same time he asked as to who is not aware that Indian National Lok Dal was an important constituent of the National Democratic Alliance when it was in power at the Centre between 1998 and 2004. Today its leader Om Prakash Chautala is in jail, convicted by a court in a corruption case. Chautla and his son Ajay Chautala were jailed in recruitment scam case.
