Narendra Modi to address rallies in Bihar next month

Patna,(BiharTimes): The prime ministerial candidate of Bharatiya Janata Party, Narendra Modi, is likely to address several rallies in Bihar in late January or the first week of February next.

According to the state BJP president Mangal Pandey Gaya, Purnea, Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur and Motihari are the places identified by the party where Modi would address the rallies. However, the final dates are yet to be finalized.

The state party chief said that much depends on the weather condition in January. If it remains cold and foggy the visit would be extended to February.

This would be the pre-election trip and Modi would be visiting the state again during the election campaign, he said.

To a specific question Mangal Pandey said the party had decided to organise separate public rally in Nalanda between February 1 and 5.

The saffron brigade hopes that Modi’s repeated visits to Bihar would certainly boost the image of the party. He addressed Hunkar Rally on October 27, than paid another visit within a week (November 2) to console the family members of those who died in the serial blasts on that occasion.

The only time Narendra Modi addressed a public meeting in Bihar when the BJP was sharing power with JD(U) was on June 13, 2010. It was only on June 12 that the chief minister Nitish Kumar cancelled the dinner of all the BJP bigwigs over the controversy revolving around a newspaper advertisement.
