Nitish showers praise on first CM Shri Babu

Patna,(BiharTimes): While laying the foundation stone and inaugurating development schemes worth Rs 344.58 crore in the name of Shri Krishna Sinha the Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday paid floral tributes to the first chief minister of the state.

Speaking on the occasion at Garhpura village in Begusarai district, from where Shri Babu started his political career, Nitish recalled the role he played in the Salt Satyagraha during the freedom struggle.
He said that in the last eight years his government did its best to restore the old glory of the state and is adding new dimension to it.

As the political journey of Shri Babu began from Garhpura village Nitish suggested that the local railway station should be named after the first chief minister of the state. He said that he would take the issue up with the Centre to name Garhpura railway station after Shri Krishna Sinha, whose 125th birth anniversary is being celebrated throughout Bihar this year.

Praising the people of Bihar for their hard work he reiterated that it is a constitutional right of the people of the state to move anywhere in the country to earn the livelihood. However, he added that his government was committed to generate more employment opportunities so that people need not go outside the state for their livelihood.

He once again talked about instilling the Bihari pride and called upon the people to maintain peace and harmony, which is essential for the development of the state.
