Nitish under opposition fire after refusing to cover head while entering Gurdwara

Patna,(BiharTimes): By not covering his head while entering Bal Leela Gurdwara in Patna Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar has given enough ammunition to the opposition, especially the Bharatiya Janata Party, to fire.
Criticising the chief minister former minister and BJP leader, Giriraj Singh, said that this is another example of insensitivity shown by Nitish Kumar. Sometimes back it was the same Nitish Kumar, who criticized Narendra Modi when he did not wear a topi (cap).
Coming down heavily on Nitish he said had the Sikh population been 15 per cent he would have his head fully covered and would have done everything to oblige them. But since they are a small minority he simply insulted them and showed gross disrespect to their religious sentiment.
Giriraj said that Nitish just wants to wear vote ki topi and nothing else. He is thikedar (contractor) of vote. He needs nothing.
On the other hand the media incharge of the Congress party, Prem Chand Mishra, said that the issue should not be just seen politically. “We cover our head as a mark of respect. If any chief minister has refused to do so he had shown disrespect to that religion. I fail to understand why has he done so,” he said adding that the incident has made it clear that there is no difference whatsoever between Narendra Modi and Nitish Kumar. One refused to wear topi when offered by a Muslim while the other refused to cover his head when requested by the Sikh community leaders.
Both have shown disrespect to respective communities. This is the culture of National Democratic Alliance. He had definitely shown disrespect.
