Press Council report on media censorship in Bihar not finalized

 

Patna,(BiharTimes): Press Council of India said its report on media censorship in Bihar could not be approved in its meeting on Monday because members wanted more time to study the contents.
The PCI had last year appointed a three-member Fact-Finding Team to examine issues related to freedom of Press in Bihar after the Council received complaints regarding the issue

In a statement signed by PCI chairman Markandey Katju, said the report will now be considered in the next meeting.
The Fact-Finding Team was headed by Rajeev Ranjan Nag. Arun Kumar and Kalyan Barooah, both Press Council members.
