Cabint nod for recruitment of 43,761 policemen in next five years

Patna,(BiharTimes): The state cabinet on Tuesday approved the creation of 43,761 posts of police at 155 police stations in Bihar. They would be appointed in the next five years. 
The creation of the posts would be in addition to the existing vacancies of personnel at different police stations.

The cabinet also approved creation of 35 posts of additional superintendents of police in seven Maoist-affected districts of the state. 

The public-police ratio in Bihar stands at 69 policemen against the population of one lakh. The national average is 143 policemen per one lakh.

In its effort to provide housing facilities to Mahadalit families, the cabinet gave its nod for providing Rs 2,000 as incentive to families that will complete the construction of houses under the Chief Minister Shatabdi Indira Awas Yojana within the stipulated time.

The meeting also made a provision to fix an amount of Rs 500 for setting up of gram kachahri. 

The cabinet also decided to create 147 posts of revenue officers under the department of revenue and land reforms. 

The cabinet allowed signing a Memorandum of Understanding with a central agency for laying optical fibre to improve the communication network up to the panchayat-level. Under State Wide Area Network optical fibre was laid up to the block-level. Now, it would be extended up to the panchayat-level. Total 36 agendas were approved today.
