Patna,(BiharTimes): Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) chief Ram Vilas Paswan, kicked off his Bihar Bachao (Save Bihar) Yatra from Patna on Saturday, with a call to overthrow the corrupt, inefficient, insensitive and dictatorial regime of Nitish Kumar.
         | A large number of LJP’s supporters raised the slogan “Nitish ko hatao, Bihar Bachao” as the former Union minister set off for his state-wide Yatra, which will cover 36 districts. He said the Lok Janshakti Party spent the year 2012 in Jan Sampark Yatra to highlight the loot of public money, death of people after consuming illicit liquor and against the tyranny of the state machinery. Now in 2013 the party has launched the Bihar Bachao Yatra. He said that 11 people died in Patna City only on Friday after consuming illicit liquor. Forty-three people died in Ara, 12 in Gaya, 11 in Samastipur, 12 in Muzaffarpur etc yet no action is being taken. Exploding the myth of good law and order situation he said there have been 7,700 cases of rape in the last six years. There is chaos and lawlessness in the state and people are angry and repeatedly taking to the streets. Citing from the BiharPolice website he said from 2005 to October 2012, over 10 lakh cognisable offences have been witnessed in the state. Over 25,000 people have been murdered and over 5,000 cases of dacoity took place. The Bihar Bachao Yatra will culminate on April 14 the birth anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar.
