Patna,(BiharTimes): The Minister for Food Shyam Rajak on Friday directed officials of his department to organise Foodgrains Day to provide subsidised foodgrains to beneficiaries who failed to take their quota on time.
After a review meeting on Public Distribution System (PDS) held in Patna on Friday he said the government was serious so that no beneficiary was deprived of the cheap wheat and rice.

The minister directed officials to ensure that all the beneficiaries avail of the PDS benefits in their areas.
He held review meeting on PDS with concerned officials of Tirhut, Darbhanga and Saran divisions. The minister enquired from officials from Saran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Muzaffarpur, Sitamarhi Sheohar, West Champaran, East Champaran, Vaishali, Darbhanga, Madhubani and Samastipur about lifting of foodgrains and its distribution among beneficiaries.
