Patna,(BiharTimes): Two RJD leaders and former ministers Awadh Bihari Chaudhary and Indradev Bhagat, who are considered close to Siwan strongman Mohammad Shahabuddin, on Tuesday joined the ruling Janata Dal (United) along with their supporters. | The state JD(U) president Vashishtha Narayan Singh welcomed them in his party-fold and said that their entry would strengthen the hands of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in his efforts to bring development with justice. Speaking on the occasion, Chaudhary and Bhagat reposed faith in the leadership of Nitish Kumar and ideology of the JD(U) and said that they would serve the party and the state without any lust for power or pelf. They flayed the RJD supremo Lalu Prasad for dictatorial style of functioning and said that they decided to quit the party as there was no inner party democracy or any respect for ordinary leaders and workers They both resigned from RJD last July.
However, many BJP rank and file are very critical of men close to Shahabuddin joining the ruling Janata Dal (United).
