JD(U) warns BJP leaders holding posts in panels will be thrown out

Patna,(BiharTimes): Though three weeks have passed since chief minister Nitish Kumar sacked all the 11 BJP ministers and snapped ties with it yet the Chairman of the Bihar Legislative Council Awadesh Narayan Singh and Chairpersons of different boards and corporations belonging to the saffron party have not given up their posts.
Now the Rural Works Department and Panchayati Raj Minister Bhim Singh, who is also National General Secretary of the party, on Thursday sought their resignation. He said the BJP leaders were talking of morality but their leaders are still clinging to posts in government undertakings and other committees and enjoying various privileges.
Talking to the media he said if they do not resign from their posts on their own, they would soon be thrown out.
The minister said the Janata Dal (United) rank and file would soon fan out across the state to tell the people the real story of BJP’s betrayal of his party as well as the people of the state. In the 2010 Assembly elections, all the national and state BJP leaders had asked people to vote in the name of Nitish Kumar. The major factor for the victory of NDA was the projection of leadership of Nitish Kumar and his governance mantra, not the policies of the BJP.
Bhim Singh also alleged that the controversial issues put on the back burner by the BJP at the insistence of JD(U) were now being raised again and a saffron leader whose “hands are full of blood” is being projected as the supreme leader.
He warned that communalism would be crushed in Bihar and added that the JD(U) is working on all the 40 Lok Sabha and 243 Assembly constituencies to defeat the preachers of communalism.
The BJP argues that Lalu Prasad Yadav, allowed the Chairman of the Council to complete his term even though he was from an
opposition party. The BJP now wants Nitish Kumar government to sack them so that it can make political capital out of it.
