Jagannath Mishra suffers brain stroke, improving

Patna,(BiharTimes): The condition of former Bihar chief minister and now a Janata Dal (United) leader, Jagannath Mishra, who suffered brain stroke four days ago, is improving in a hospital here.

Chief minister Nitish Kumar on Monday went to see him in a private hospital where he is recovering. The CM inquired about his health.

Dr Mishra’s son Nitish Mishra is a minister in the state cabinet.

A medical bulletin issued by the hospital said Dr Mishra (76), who was brought to the hospital four days ago, was found to have suffered brain stroke.

However, today he is much better, conscious and able to recognise all his relatives and friends.

His fever has come down and electrolytes improved, taking oral liquids and soft diet and shall remain under observation for few days.

Dr Mishra, who is three-time CM of Bihar, is an accused in RC-20 case of fodder scam. The ruling of this case is to come within a few days.
