Nitish opens mouth on Saran, but only to blame opposition

Patna,(BiharTimes): Almost six days after the incident Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar is reported to have opened his mouth on the Saran tragedy in which 23 children died on July 16. But then he said nothing in public, but in the door close meeting of his party leaders.

Though he is yet to console the family members of the victims he told the partymen that the BJP and RJD had joined hands to conspire against his government. In this regard he cited the example of Bodh Gaya blasts and poisoning which led to the death of children in Dharamsati-Gandaman village in Saran district.

To substantiate his point the chief miistger cited the report of Forensic Scicence Laboratory, which highlights the presence of pesticide in the miday meal.

State Janata Dal (U) spokesman Rajeev Ranjan said that the chief minister told MPs, MLAs, MLCs and office-bearers that an understanding between BJP and RJD was very much visible both after Bodh Gaya blasts and Saran mid-day meal Tragedy as the two parties had called bandhs on the same day after the two incidents.

Nitish strongly defended his government and is apprehending that more such incidents will take place as part of the opposition’s efforts to destabilize his government and asked the partymen to be prepared for it.

Nitish reportedly said the opposition parties are testing his patience but he would not move away from the chosen path. Meanwhile, the state party chief, Vashisth Narayan Singh and party MP R C P Singh, who visited Dharamsati-Gandaman village late on Monday––following the instruction from the chief minister––talked about the conspiracy to defame the state government.
