Shatrughan ‘Yakinan’ lands BJP in trouble after Nitish is PM material remarks

Patna,(BiharTimes): First on Feb 14 last he called for Narendra Modi to be projected as the prime ministerial candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Than he repeatedly called the BJP patriarch, Lal Krishna Advani, as the tallest leader who should be respected and not ifnored. The last time he said so was only a few days back in Patna. A day after that he went to meet Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar.

On July 30 the Patna Saheb MP, Shatrughan Sinha, changed yet another gear with his statement: Nitish Kumar Yakinan PM material hain.(Nitish Kumar is surely a PM material.

But that is not enough. Before the 2009 Lok Sabha election he even had a few words of praise for RJD chief Lalu Uadav. But then that was a different situation and his statement was not attached much meaning.
What Shatrughan Sinha said on Tuesday clearly suggests that his days in the BJP seems to be numbered. He is not at all hopeful of getting party ticket from Patna Saheb this time. So why not start praising that very Nitish Kumar whom he had strongly criticized several times publicly in the past.

If Janata Dal (United) actually gives him ticket for Patna Saheb than the contest may turn triangular in Patna Saheb.

While senior BJP leaders and Rajya Sabham MPs Dr C P Thakur and Ravi Shankar Prasad are already interested in the Patna Saheb seat now Sushil Kumar Modi too is likely to throw his hat. After all he had represented the then Patna Central Assembly constituency for about one and a half decade.

But some political observers are looking at the whole issue in much broader perspective. Is it that Shatru is speaking on behalf of several top leaders of the party.

After all he is repeatedly calling for due respect to Sushma Swaraj, Yashwant Sinha, Jaswant Singh, Murli Manohar Joshi etc. It is because of this reason that the party chief Rajnath Singh was quite evasive when asked to comment on Bihari Babu’s remarks. He just said he had not come across any such statement till now.

Anyway if Janata Dal (United) is neck deep in trouble and facing revolt like situation the picture is not rosy in BJP.

Incidentally, the statement came on the day when BJP sacked its spokesman, Ram Kishore Singh, for his anti-Narendra Modi remarks.
