Patna,(BiharTimes): The state cabinet on Tuesday changed the eligibility criteria for police recruitment. Now, Intermediate or Plus-2 pass would be eligible to be appointed constables. Similar criteria has been fixed for the constables in Bihar Military Police (BMP). Earlier, the minimum qualification was Class X.

The cabinet also approved the creation of a committee for the international nuseum coming up on Bailey Road in the state capital. The committee would be headed by the chief minister and include the art, culture and youth affairs minister, development commissioner and art, culture and youths affairs department secretary as members.

The building construction department has shortlisted four firms, based outside the state, to construct the Bihar Museum at an estimated outlay of Rs 350 crore.

The cabinet also gave its green signal to the approval of criteria for upgrading middle schools to high schools. Around 4,000 middle schools will be upgraded in phases.
