Our MLAs are being lured, harassed: BJP

Patna,(BiharTimes): The state BJP president Mangal Pandey has accused the Janata Dal (United) of trying to engineer split in his party.

Talking to the media on Friday he said that the JD(U) leaders are trying to lure BJP legislators and offering them ministerial berths and other things. Independent MLA Dilip Verma, who was formerly with the BJP, has already said so in a television interview, he added.

“Who broke Lok Janshakti Party, who broke the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha,” he asked. He said he would make further disclosure at the appropriate time.

The BJP has also accused the JD(U) of denying Miller School Ground for the meeting, which is to be addressed by the party chief, Rajnath Singh, on June 23. Several party MLAs and workers are talking of harassment and threat, which they never faced even during the 15 year of Lalu-Rabri regime.

Meanwhile, the deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi has returned his official car and the offices of the BJP ministers have been locked as they did not turn up to their offices for the third consecutive day on Saturday.

Political observers are of the view that if Sushil Modi and Mangal Pandey, who were always considered close to Nitish, are so furious one can imagine what would be the reaction of other leaders. They are not at all prepared to listen to any talk of rapprochement. The abuse language and bullying tactic adopted by the JD(U) is a cause of great concern for the central leadership of the party. They are feeling betrayed and cheated. comments powered by Disqus
