Patna,(BiharTimes): Taking advantage of the tape provided by the BJP to the media the president of RJD Lalu Prasad on Tuesday took a dig at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for showering fulsome praise on Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi in December 2003.
Talking to the media Lalu asked as to how would Nitish now explain his praise for the
Gujarat Chief Minister as contained in the CD being played by various private television channels and websites. (It is also available on BiharTimes.)
Retorting to Nitish’s excuse that protocol demands so Lalu asked does protocol require a visiting Central minister to urge a state chief minister to play national role?
The RJD supremo even asked whether Nitish had praised any other chief minister in such a manner and asked him/her to play a national role?
Lalu accused Nitish of befooling the Muslims by making Modi an excuse to part ways from BJP. But Muslims are not such a fool, he added.
He reiterated that Nitish is doing all this at the behest of Lal Krishna Advani.
